More on lunch/dinner... Indian Railways

Interesting lunch option on way back from Kanyakumari. After previous experience, planned to decide on chosing lunch based on eating convenience. The staff said that they serve in a different packaging, which seemed will be easier to eat.

It was inside paper, and in plaintain leaves and plastic covers. Managed to eat by taking turns at the table - which is there in a/c coaches, wonder how we would have eaten without that. The regulars ate gracefully, they put the sleeping berth down - which gets you an even surface and ate carefully without adequate amounts on sambhar, rasam and curds. It reminded of the story about Tiruvallavar.

At dinner, picked vegetable biryani, finally a decent choice in terms on container provided. It was tin foil casserole, with raita in plastic cover. The biryani too turned out great, it was not like anything you get in hotels, quite NON-greasy, non-spicy and tasty.
